My road to photography has been a winding one, for sure! I began my educational journey after moving from New Orleans to teach Middle School in Long Beach, CA. After a few years, I felt adventurous and moved to Nice, France to teach at the American International School. I knew my eventual dream was to become a child therapist, so after a few years, I moved back to the US where I earned a Masters in Educational Psychology from The University of Texas. However, I had always incorporated photography in whatever I did, growing up as a child, in my classroom activities and even as a School Counselor.
After my children were born, my camera became an extension of me! Soon I was dubbed the official photographer of their class plays, sports teams and most school events. It was then that I decided to go back to school and really take my passion for photography to the next level. Mostly because I was intrigued with all the buttons on my camera!
Throughout the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and work alongside talented professionals in the industry. They have graciously encouraged me to grow to new levels in my business. Each year I reevaluate and challenge myself by looking at what my clients needs are, adding new products and attending national conferences - to ensure that my clients will get a one of a kind experience that they will remember forever.
I want to give you not only a beautiful, artistic product with a superior level of service, but to tell your unique story in a way that every client deserves from your portrait experience. From the beginning, I will guide you through the process and the end the result will be amazing heirloom portraiture that you will treasure for years to come.
My sons make me strive to be a better person on a daily basis. They make me laugh out loud every day and apparently, I live to embarrass them.
My husband is the smartest person I know. I’m thankful for his support, even when he realized this was not going to be a 9-5 job.
The only reason I exercise is because I love Tex-Mex and good Cajun food!
I am truly happy when I surround myself with my closest friends and family, or with my Doberman at the dog park.
After living in New Orleans for 25 years, it’s in a part of my soul. I hope I have successfully passed on those Southern traditions to my sons.
I am a crybaby. I cry A LOT ~ at movies, commercials, Facebook posts, and when the Saints score a touchdown!
Every High School Senior I have worked with has inspired me because of their hard work, dedication and their amazing stories. I love every single one of them.
I believe in Audrey Hepburn. I believe she embodies elegance, grace and beauty. I try to put a little Audrey into every day.
