Think bold. Think resolute. Think brave. These are all amazing qualities I think of when I think of Susannah. Qualities I wish I had when I was her age. Qualities I wish I had now!! Susannah is part of the new generation of bright and educated young people who are blazing a trail for others to follow and speaking out against injustices of the decisions the adults around them are making. Susannah not only has something to say, she knows what she is saying.
Let's talk about Susannah's talent ... WOW!! Like blow you away, gifted! Oh, wait, I should narrow that down because she has several talents. I'm specifically referring to her singing. It is off the charts! Earlier this year, I heard her perform in a club here in Austin and I seriously felt like I had been transformed back to an old New Orleans Blues Nightclub. Just the way she sings is so earthy and heartfelt. I'm certainly no music critic, but her voice is so beautiful. This week she's in her high school musical of "Chicago" and I know she will be amazing! Susannah's creative talents and passion stretch into film as well. This year she won an award for a film she wrote and directed.
Any given day of the week, you will find her walking around campus in a very unique outfit that is true to her individual sense of style. This made for a really fun Senior Session with Susannah! It's truly fascinating to know someone who is going to make a difference in this world. I am so honored to have her as an Ambassador this year. We love you, Susannah!
What are your hobbies and interests? I love film, it is what I want to major in. I spend my free time writing scripts and filming and editing them, as well as directing. I also sing around Austin and take film photography.
What are your extracurricular activities or sports? I did the school musical this year, I am on the dance company at my school, and I sing outside of school.
Do you play a musical instrument? If so, what do you play? I played violin from 3rd-9th grade.
What's the first thing people notice about you? Probably the way I dress or how much I laugh at everything people say.
What's the one thing you're most proud about? I'm really proud of how much I've changed and overcome things the past 2 years.
How would you describe your personality? I'm kind of quiet at first, but I'm actually a really extroverted person, I'm pretty sarcastic a lot of the time and I'm pretty loud and - I hate this word - but I'm really silly.
How would you describe your personal sense of style? The way I dress is something that defines me and something that I'm kind of known for at my school. I don't know how to describe it, but it is very european looking and pretty formal, I always wear heels to school and a golden knotted necklace. I wear only high-waisted pants and crop tops but I think I look really respectable.
What is your favorite way to spend a free afternoon? I like going to see a movie with my boyfriend or filming one of my scripts or sitting at Zilker with friends.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years? Hopefully directing an award winning film, unmarried and with no kids yet and having traveled a lot of the world.
Which social media app do you use the most? Instagram
What was the most important thing Laura learned about you? I had a lot of ideas for my senior pictures, because when I do something I usually have a very clear vision that I feel very passionately about, and my outfits were very important to me.
