When I first met Annie at the Parent Information meeting and then again at our Estilo Fashion shoot, what struck me about her was how TALL she was! Then she was in our Fashion Show and she rocked every single outfit and walked the catwalk like she opened it! (I was like, "Dang"!) I found her to be silly, girly, and super fun to be around. I couldn't wait to do her Senior Session with her!
Throughout the year, I have come to know Annie as having a dry sense of humor (we laughed a ton on her Senior Session) and extremely likable. She's also humble and very down to earth and I think if I were 17 and a Senior, I would like to have Annie as my friend. When we were on location during her session, I was like a broken record, because I kept telling her that she should be a runway model - she wears clothes amazingly well! She can also stop and give the camera a "model-esque" look when she's really goofing around! Not everyone can do that.
However, it wasn't until she participated in the Project Beauty photo shoot, that I really got a glimpse into Annie's inner strength. She didn't have to, but she voluntarily opened up about her feelings with social media, struggles with beauty and how much she wants to be a role model for her younger sister. I was honored to be a part of the raw emotion that she shared with all of us during the shoot and the video.
Annie is an extraordinary talented and gifted Senior that I have been lucky to have as an Ambassador for my final year. Her adventure begins at Texas Christian University in the Fall and I'll certainly be watching to see what her future holds. Thank you for making my year better Annie. We love you!!
