FAQS + INFORMATION

How do I book a Session?

Please call the studio, fill out our contact form, or click here to book your consultation.

What is a Consultation?

It is very important for me to tell your story and mark this moment in time for you. A Consultation is a Pre-session meeting when we can discuss wardrobe, location and the type of session you would like (Urban, City, Ranch, etc.). We also determine any props you may want to include in your session, who will be photographed and how to customize your session to tell your unique story. We fill out any necessary forms and paperwork at this session, book the actual session date, the Session fee is collected and we set a date for your Premier Ordering Appointment.

What is a wardrobe consultation?

A wardrobe consultation is included in your session fee and part of the Laura Reed Photography experience! I help you choose your clothing for your session because I understand this can be an overwhelming process. Based on our Consultation, I will have a pretty good idea of your sense of style, so I help you choose your shoes, jewelry, accessories, jackets, scarves, hats, etc. Bring everything to the studio an hour before your session and we go through your clothing and accessories and you are free to choose from all the items I have in the LRP Style Closet! Mix and match my things with yours! It’s always so fun to have new things in a photo shoot.

Tell me about Hair and Make Up.

Although hair and makeup isn’t a requirement, I strongly recommend having this done. Since this is such a special event in your life that marks your moment in time, having professional hair and make up is not only a treat, but looks fantastic in photos. Both of our talented artists on staff at LRP will have you looking naturally beautiful and will add to your Senior Session experience. They will even come on location with us to make sure you are picture perfect throughout your entire session!

MEET RIANNA -

I was extremely fortunate to meet to Rianna Alberty of Rimix Cosmetics just through a mutual friend. Rimix is Rianna’s own line of natural cosmetics and she has a beauty bar at Bella Salon. She worked closely with industry professionals in London and LA and came up with sweat-proof and waterproof makeup that is UNREAL! I’ve seen her amazing products put to the test for 4 hours in 104 degree Texas temps!

MEET BROOKE -

Brooke and I were introduced while working together on a photo shoot 2 years ago and this year I asked her to head up our first annual Fashion Show! She did such an amazing job with all the Ambassadors, I invited her to join our team at LRP. Brooke also has her own company blush n' bangs. She has worked with some of the top professionals in the business and now we are lucky to have her with us!

What does a Session look like?

  • Wardrobe Consultation: 30 - 45 minutes prior to a session in studio
  • Hair and Make Up: hour and a half prior to your session in studio
  • Seniors: Generally 2 locations; unlimited outfit changes; approximately 2-3 hours
  • Families: location of your choice; 1-1.5 hours

Any special tips for the session?

  • Come to studio with clean hair and face for Hair and Make Up.
  • Get a mani/pedi before your shoot with neutral colors or clear polish. If you don’t have time, make sure your nails are clean and any chipped nail polish has been touched up.
  • Do not get a hair cut within a week of your session or try a new cut. (Now is not the time to try a new style, only to find out that you hate it!)
  • Make sure your clothing is freshly ironed and fits well.
  • Make sure your outfits are varied in style and represent who you are.
  • Drink lots of water in the last few days before your session for freshly hydrated skin and a healthy glow!
  • Bring your favorite music play list to the shoot for fun jams!
  • Gentleman should be clean shaven.

When can I see my images?
